Animal Chiropractic

Why Would Your Animal Need a Chiropractor?

Chiropractic is gentle, safe and effective way to help with common issues in your pet, as well as some rare ones. Animal Chiropractors perform adjustments to the joints and vertebrae to restore balance, alleviate pain, and improve performance.  Here are some reasons to bring your pet to see us:

  • Limping
  • Won't jump
  • Lameness
  • Stops using rear legs
  • Back pain
  • Suspicion of disc herniation
  • Athletic animal check-up
  • Recovery from surgery
  • Arthritis, general weakness
  • Improve quality of life

Who Can Perform Chiropractic on Animals?

In Oklahoma, any licensed Veterinarian or Chiropractor is able to perform Chiropractic on animals. However, only a few have advanced training and certification from an Animal Chiropractic post-graduate course.

The Animal Chiropractic post-graduate course is taught to Veterinarians and Chiropractors across the country. Veterinarians are taught the science, philosophy and art of Chiropractic, and Chiropractors are taught the anatomy of horses, dogs, and cats to name a few, as well as veterinary pathology, diseases, radiology, zoonotic diseases, neurology, safety, restraint and saddle fit, although this is not an inclusive list.

Dr. Dustin Reif, DC, as a licensed Chiropractor in the state of Oklahoma, is able to adjust animals with a written referral from a veterinarian.

Dr. Danielle Reif, DC, CAC, is a licensed Chiropractor and has earned the further certification in Animal Chiropractic. She is able to adjust any animal without a referral from a veterinarian. She does prefer to work closely with your vet so that they can be aware of the treatment and improvements resulting from Chiropractic.
